Origin Details
- The Formation: A high-energy "wingman" pairing of single origin Tanzania with Indonesia Robusta.
- Altitude: 900 – 1,600 Meters (ASL).
- Strategic Selection: We utilize premium, specialty-grade Robusta from Indonesia—which naturally contains nearly double the caffeine of standard Arabica—balanced by high-grown Tanzanian beans for sophisticated flavor depth.
Growth & Processing Method
- Method: Dual-Process Integration. This blend combines Washed Arabica for clarity with Natural Robusta for maximum body and caffeine retention.
- Cultivation: Sun-Grown Intensity. The Robusta components are grown in lower, hotter elevations which encourages the plant to produce more caffeine as a natural defense mechanism. The Tanzanian Arabica is shade-grown on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro to provide the "navigational" flavor notes.
- Roast Style: Thermal-Precision Roast. Roasted to a medium-dark level to bridge the gap between "bold" and "smooth." We monitor the thermal curve closely to ensure we develop the rich chocolate notes without "burning off" the high caffeine payload found in the lighter stages of the roast.
Brewing Recommendations
To extract the maximum "thrust" from these beans:
- Best Choice: Drip Brewer or French Press.
- Ratio: 1:15 (Coffee to Water) for an extra-concentrated "jolt."
- Temp: 205°F (96°C). The higher temperature helps ensure a complete "burn" (extraction) of the caffeine.
